SYD 12-Inch Heavy Duty 304 Stainless Steel Cable Ties (100-Pack) - Natural Finish for Outdoor, Industrial & Home Organization

I use zip ties for many things but usually not made of Stainless Steel (SS). Picture 1 shows the pack of 100 one foot long ties 5mm wide that I got. These are made of 304 SS so will resist corrosion, rust and heat. These will be great to toss a few into my car tools. They won't burn or melt if used to support an exhaust pipe in an emergency fix, for fastening wire fencing to a pole or post, attaching metal conduit, etc. These are much stronger than old bailing wire, don't rust, won't melt at moderate temps like nylon will, can be hooked end to end for a longer tie and have about a 350 pound strength. Superb toolbox addition! The package is seen in Picture 1. I would not use these on wiring or romex power cabling or ethernet cable since the insulation might get cut.I recommend purchasing separately a Stainless Steel Zip Tie Tensioning and Cutting Gun as seen in pictures 2&3, easily searchable on AMAZON as: SS Cable Tie Gun. The one shown does NOT come with the ties in this review. Picture 4 shows a representative SS Zip tie fastened and tightened and then cut using the gun. It does a great job, hence my recommendation. A sturdy pair of lineman's pliers will serve for tightening in a pinch with diagonal cutters to clip the SS tie.
