This cable is exactly what you need to install a 240v line for your RV or electric car if you have to run it outside and not in a garage. So if that's what you need to do this is perfect! And the price has gone down around 25% since I bought it. But I'm not mad on the internet about that. Much. All of that said, I hate this cable.I hate it because it is the ultimate pain in the buns to work with. There are 4 strands of 6 gauge wire encased in a PVC jacket. That means:1. It does not like to bend2. It does not like to be run through conduit3. Stripping the PVC jacket off will make you question your resolve. Look up how to do it on YouTube. You need a steady hand while cutting with a fresh utility blade AND plenty of hand/wrist strength to pull off the inside wires. Good luck.If you have to use conduit get 1.5" electrical conduit. For a straight run you could use the white stuff but if you have to make a bend don't use the white stuff. Also it takes at least 2 strong people to run it through the conduit. I've been a weightlifter for 30 years so trust me on that point.Ideally, you would dig your trench 24" deep so you don't have to use conduit except where it comes up from the ground. This is your best option. My yard is full of tree roots and I don't have a ditchwitch so I could only dig down 18" and thus - conduit. Conclusion: If you can afford it, hire someone to run this stuff. If you can't or are a stubborn DIY person, prepare for a lot of frustration and sore hands. The product itself is great, though!
